About the Role We are seeking a Backend Engineer to design and scale high-performance backend systems that power our AI-first platform. The ideal candidate has experience building distributed services in languages such as Go, Java, Python, or TypeScript. You should be deeply familiar with modern API design and communication protocols (REST, gRPC, GraphQL), and have a passion for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. Ideally, you’ve worked on services that support AI functionality-whether through integrating external AI APIs, managing ML inference pipelines, or supporting data infrastructure for model training. You're not just a code contributor-you care about how your systems are deployed, monitored, and managed in production. Bonus points if you’ve worked with regulated data environments like healthcare or fintech. This role requires a hands-on engineer who thrives in cross-functional environments, collaborates effectively with product and frontend teams, and proactively builds for scale, compliance, and maintainability. Total compensation for this position may also include stock options.
