Job description

About the Role Abnormal AI is seeking a Software Engineer II with a strong interest in security and privacy to join the Data Security team. In this role, you will help protect customer data by implementing rigorous security and privacy standards along with robust governance practices. You will design, develop, and refine platform solutions that enforce strict authentication, authorization, and auditability (AAA) principles, ensuring all customer data access is properly verified, appropriately permitted, and comprehensively logged. • A practical security mindset: The ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities across the entire software development and operations lifecycle. • The ability to break down security and privacy challenges into practical technical solutions and lead their successful implementation. • Skill and passion for leveraging AI-native approaches to enhance team workflows and engineering practices. • The opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with product engineering teams to seamlessly integrate security and privacy best practices into our microservice architecture, eliminating implementation overhead for development teams. • The opportunity to flex and develop your leadership skills. Nice to Have • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and data security/privacy problem spaces, best practices, and related technologies. • Understanding of distributed computing, CAP theorem, and system design tradeoffs. • BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field. #LI-NT1 Actual compensation will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
