Your Role: The Alpaca Crypto team is a 100% distributed and remote team. This role will report directly to the Global Director of Crypto Operations. Things You Get To Do: • Primary responsibility for the daily monitoring and surveillance of all customer activity • Primary responsibility for daily operational tasks including trading, new accounts, and cash management functions; • Cryptocurrency trading executions and exceptions (errors, corrections, etc.) • Assist with customer onboarding, including KYC and account approval • Review of general ledger accounts, identify and reconcile account discrepancies • Support the Anti-Money Laundering Program and investigations that result from suspected suspicious activity • Proactively drive impactful changes across workflows, policies and tools • Clearly communicate with internal and external partners in an effective, tactical, and insightful manner • Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned • Global remote location, core time around 9am to 5pm PT (working hours: 8 hours per day, holidays follow the US market holidays) Who You Are (Must-Haves): • Excited about what Alpaca is building!! • 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading or cryptocurrency operations role • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or strong desire to learn • Work effectively and supportively within a team environment as well as work independently • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Must possess the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment • Enjoys challenges and taking ownership of new responsibilities • Inspired by Alpaca’s mission and enthusiastic about supporting our customer base and growing the platform Who You Might Be (Nice-to-Haves): • Startup mindset for a fast paced, high growth environment • Familiarity or interest in: FinTech, financial markets, cryptocurrencies, investing applications How We Take Care of You: • Competitive Salary & Stock Options • Health Benefits • New Hire Home-Office Setup: One-time USD $500 • Monthly Stipend: USD $150 per month via a Brex Card Alpaca is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.
