Job description
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM Enterprise Test Capabilities (ETC) develops, operates, and scales the shared physical test infrastructure, technical expertise, and execution systems required to validate Anduril's products across the company. The team provides specialized testing that is capital-intensive, technically complex, safety-critical, or broadly reusable across multiple programs, spanning environmental testing (thermal, vibration, shock, HALT, TVAC), battery testing (cell/module/pack characterization, abuse testing, BMS validation), propulsion testing (engine test cells, thrust/torque measurement, fuel/feed systems), aerodynamic testing (wind tunnel operations, flow visualization, force/moment measurement), and structural testing. We partner with product test teams from early development through qualification and sustainment to identify technical risk, select appropriate test methods, execute testing safely, and generate trusted engineering evidence. The test operations team within ETC owns the lab facilities, equipment fleet, calibration program, and operational support team that keeps this diverse test enterprise running. ABOUT THE JOB We are seeking a Calibration Technician to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and uptime of our physical test equipment across all ETC domains. The organization's ability to meet program deadlines depends directly on equipment being properly calibrated, well-maintained, and fully operational. The equipment spans thermal chambers, electrodynamic shakers, battery test stations, propulsion measurement systems, wind tunnel instrumentation, structural load cells, and all supporting DAQ and instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on test and measurement equipment experience, strong troubleshooting instincts across multiple equipment types, and takes genuine pride in equipment performance and uptime. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Manage routine calibration on a variety of ETC instrumentation, and data acquisition systems • Oversee preventative maintenance across the full diverse equipment catalog of ETC • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems in different test domains. • Manage calibration schedule across all equipment types, tracking due dates, and ensuring no lapses. • Coordinate with external calibration and service providers for specialized work across diverse equipment categories. • Maintain detailed maintenance and calibration records per ISO 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 standards • Manage spare parts inventory across multiple equipment types, insuring critical spares are stocked and available • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities across all test domains • Monitor equipment performance trends and recommend predictive maintenance actions for the diverse fleet. • Respond to equipment issues during active testing across ETC to minimize interruptions • Collaborate with lab coordinators, test engineers, and lab admins on equipment status and scheduling across all test domains • Ensure compliance with all safety and EHS requirements, including domain-specific safety protocols across ETC. • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout all test facilities. • Support evaluation and qualification of new equipment acquisitions across the full range of test capabilities REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of hands-on calibration and maintenance experience with physical test or test and measurement equipment in a test lab, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment • Direct experience calibrating and maintaining diverse test equipment • Strong troubleshooting skills • Working knowledge of calibration standards including ISO 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 • Demonstrated ability to maintain calibration records with full traceability • Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and scheduling across a diverse equipment fleet • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individuals) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, instrumentation, or mechanical technology • Experience with CMMS or calibration management software • Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-202) • Experience with diverse test equipment types beyond environmental, such as propulsion test systems, structural load frames, battery test stations, or aerodynamic instrumentation • Experience managing spare parts inventory and procurement across multiple equipment categories • Experience in a high-growth or rapidly scaling environment • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), ISA certification, or similar professional credentials US Salary Range $37-$49 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
