Licensed Veterinary Technician Salary: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. $2,500 Sign-on Bonus! Schedule: This is a full-time position. Monday - Friday, rotating weekends and some closing shifts. Option to work three long shifts and one short shift to reach 40 hours, allowing for three days off each week. Ark Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Because we know your pets are family, too. • Yearly scrub allowance Key Responsibilities: • Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery. • Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion. • Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates • Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing. • Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready. • Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. Qualifications: • Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in New York State. • Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately. • Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions. • Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
