To learn more, visit www.avepoint.com. Overview AvePoint is seeking a Business Analyst with experience in finance system implementation projects to join our Client Services division. In this role, you will work closely with finance stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to analyze financial business processes, gather requirements, and support the implementation and enhancement of enterprise finance systems. You will play a key role in translating accounting and operational needs into scalable system solutions and ensuring successful project delivery. What will you be doing? The Business Analyst analyzes financial business processes and supporting systems, develops As-Is and To-Be workflows, and ensures business and functional requirements are clearly defined throughout the project lifecycle. Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Lead requirements gathering activities for finance system implementation and enhancement projects. • Analyze and document finance-related business processes, workflows, and system requirements. • Prepare key deliverables including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), functional specifications, use cases, and process flows. • Translate finance and accounting requirements into functional specifications understandable by technical teams. • Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, and Operations stakeholders to understand business needs. • Support system configuration discussions, data migration validation, and integration activities. • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment support. • Work with developers and subject matter experts to balance business usability with system performance and compliance needs. • Support project managers in planning deliverables, scope, timelines, and project execution. • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to drive requirement alignment and solution adoption. What We Are Looking For We seek individuals who are agile, passionate, and collaborative-those who bring fresh ideas and are eager to learn, grow, and make an impact. To succeed in this role, you should have: • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline. • Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting finance or ERP system implementation projects. • Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and producing As-Is and To-Be documentation. • Understanding of end-to-end finance processes such as billing, invoicing, instalments, refunds, reconciliation, and financial reporting. • Knowledge of accounting concepts including revenue recognition, journal entries, reconciliation, and write-offs. • Experience working with finance systems such as SAP Finance, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics Finance, or similar platforms is preferred. • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business needs into system requirements. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Experience supervising junior associates will be an advantage.
