Job description

About the Position As VP, Global FP&A, you will be a strategic finance leader and operating partner to the CFO, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team, responsible for company-wide planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support as we scale a multi-product, multi-region SaaS business. You will translate operational performance into financial outcomes, establish an executive-ready KPI operating cadence, and elevate resource allocation decisions to maximize durable growth and capital efficiency. You will lead analysis to define financial objectives and KPIs that drive accountability and performance for our cross-functional, matrixed organization across multiple regions, product lines, and go-to-market motions. You will also support strategic initiatives related to M&A, investments, and optimization. This role is for someone who is highly motivated to transform and lead a global FP&A function and dynamic team that will enable our growth aspirations beyond $1B revenue. Key Responsibilities • Serve as a core strategic advisor to the CFO and executive team, influencing decisions on growth, investment tradeoffs, operating leverage, and long-range value creation. • In partnership with the executive team, establish a strategic roadmap and growth targets for all business lines and geographies, including KPIs to drive business performance • Lead the long-range plan (LRP), translating strategy into measurable financial targets, investment guardrails, and capacity plans. • Deliver clear executive narratives on performance and outlook; present insights and recommendations to the CEO, CFO, and Board. • Own the Annual Operating Plan, rolling forecasts, and scenario modeling across all regions and functions. • Drive transformation of planning models to improve forecast accuracy and speed of decision-making. • Develop SaaS operating models and KPI dashboards connecting leading indicators to ARR and revenue. • Institutionalize KPI governance, business review cadences, and corrective action loops. • Deliver variance analyses and insights tied to strategic outcomes. • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success on bookings, revenue, retention, and capacity planning. • Drive ROI-based resource allocation and investment prioritization. • Provide financial rigor on pricing, deal economics, and margin impacts. • Partner with Product and Engineering to align roadmap investments with financial outcomes. • Own R&D headcount and expense planning with a focus on efficiency and ROI. • Deploy scalable planning systems to support technical organizations. • Lead financial evaluation of strategic investments and M&A opportunities. • In partnership with Corporate Development, develop valuation, synergy, and post-deal performance tracking models. • Support capital efficiency and cash flow outlooks. • Produce Board-ready financial reporting with clear insights and action orientation. • Partner across Finance to support earnings, forecasting, and reporting cycles. • Provide credible guidance and strategic context to leadership. • Own FP&A process optimization, automation, and systems modernization. • Improve speed, accuracy, and scalability of forecasts and reporting. • Establish a single source of truth for metrics and assumptions. • Mentor future finance leaders and evolve org design to match scale. Qualifications • 15+ years of progressive FP&A or strategic finance experience in a scaling SaaS environment. • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, operating models, and value drivers. • Exceptional modeling, analytical, and executive communication skills. • Proven leader with experience building and scaling global teams. • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced credential preferred but not required. • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. The Salary Range for this role is $240,000 - $320,000. At AvePoint, we strive to offer competitive, fair, and equitable total rewards.
