About the Role An early-stage ambient AI / personal productivity startup is hiring a Head of GTM to fully own go-to-market strategy and brand - from funnel logic to narrative - across both strategy and execution. This is a founding-level, player/coach role that is critical to launching and scaling the product, driving acquisition, and building market presence from zero. The company is building an ambient intelligence system - combining hardware, software, memory, and AI - designed to seamlessly integrate into daily life, reduce cognitive load, and help people focus on what matters most. Think of it as a continuous context layer that learns user patterns, manages follow-ups, and handles the administrative "small loops" that drain attention. This is a 0→1 hire for a company at early/seed stage. You will shape how the product enters the market and how the brand is perceived by early adopters. What You'll Do • Own end-to-end GTM strategy, including funnel logic, beta-to-launch sequencing, and channel mix (founder-led outreach, KOL activation, community platforms, Product Hunt, Hacker News, and more). • Develop the brand narrative, voice, and positioning from scratch - identifying and resonating with early-adopter audiences. • Build and optimize beta acquisition funnels; use conversion data to continuously reallocate effort across channels. • Direct and coach all individuals involved in GTM and marketing efforts in a true hands-on player/coach capacity. • Create a comprehensive, repeatable GTM and brand playbook for the team to leverage post-launch. What We're Looking For Required: • 10–12+ years of experience, with a proven track record owning end-to-end GTM execution and brand/positioning for a startup launch (Seed through Series B). • Demonstrated ability to grow a product from zero awareness and zero brand equity. • Experience sequencing multi-channel beta-to-launch plans and crafting compelling brand narratives. • Comfort with ambiguity and prior experience as a first/founding GTM hire. • Experience directing and coaching GTM or marketing personnel alongside doing the hands-on work yourself. • Ability to build repeatable playbooks for post-launch scaling. Nice to Have: • Experience with consumer AI or hardware-adjacent startups. • Familiarity with community-led or Product-Led Growth (PLG) models. • Awareness of the "trust gap" dynamics around the origin of consumer tech products. • An existing operator network or professional following on X/LinkedIn. • Bilingual capabilities. • Understanding of "second brain" / Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) personas. Not a fit if: You are a single-discipline specialist (brand-only or GTM-only), primarily a large-company operator, management-only without hands-on execution experience, or have no 0→1 startup background.
