The Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a deep understanding of low-level systems to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing application frameworks that form the building blocks for all software development at Databricks. Your expertise will be focused on the intricate details of system internals, performance, and efficiency. What we look for : • Design, implement, and maintain core system infrastructure and low-level software components. • Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through meticulous analysis and innovative solutions. • Work with JVM internals, memory management, concurrency, and distributed systems. • Collaborate with other senior engineers and architects to define technical strategies and roadmaps. • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence. • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decision-making. • Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide effective resolutions.
