Job description

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to lead, design, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)   in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Own the development, maintenance and governance of operational technical documentation,  ensuring process standardization, effective document control and organizational compliance. This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis, risk management, KPI monitoring, and corrective action programs, enabling successful certification, operational excellence, and enhanced customer satisfaction. Responsibilities • Process Standardization & Document Control: Collaborate with engineers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, map, and draft manuals, SOPs, and work instructions, while architecting and managing the centralized document control repository for all technical assets. • Auditing & Compliance Management: Coordinate and execute internal and external audits, reviewing both document structure and content to proactively identify gaps, mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance. • Non-Conformance & Continuous Improvement: Lead root-cause analysis for internal deviations, ensuring the effective deployment, verification, and closure of corrective actions. • Quality Metrics & Risk-Based Thinking: Define, monitor, and report QMS performance KPIs to analyze trends and support data-driven decision-making, ensuring risk management is deeply embedded within operational processes. • QMS Governance & ISO 9001 Compliance: Author, audit, and maintain internal quality assurance requirements to ensure continuous adherence to organizational standards and ISO 9001 regulations. Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field. • Professional Experience & ISO 9001: 2 years of experience in quality management, process improvement, or operational excellence, with a proven track record of supporting, maintaining, or implementing ISO 9001 certification projects. • Technical Knowledge & Core Tools: Expertise in ISO 9001 standards, process mapping, document control, records management, auditing practices, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement methodologies. • SME Collaboration & Engineering Literacy: Demonstrated ability to work directly with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs-engineers, technicians, etc.) to extract procedural data, combined with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications. • Data Analysis & KPI Management: Experience defining, monitoring, and analyzing quality/operational performance metrics (KPIs) to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and drive data-backed continuous improvement initiatives • Language: Able to read, write, and speak both Spanish and English fluently. Diamond Foundry believes in supporting our employees from the workplace to their personal and home life. We provide eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. Perks include employee discounts to VRAI. All benefits offered are available starting your first day.  Diamond Foundry is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
