Job description
eleQtron develops and operates full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. Quantum computing is a new computing paradigm rapidly approaching commercial viability. Our unique approach combines laser-cooled trapped ions with microwave control and tailored magnetic fields. Our next-generation computing machines under development will be able to find solutions to problems that are out of reach today, thus enabling new innovative products and services for a brighter future. We are looking for an RF Test Engineer (m/f/d) for our Siegen location to test, characterise, and validate RF and microwave systems that enable the operation of our next-generation trapped-ion quantum computing platforms. Responsibilities: As an RF Test Engineer in the Electronic Engineering Team, you will play a key role in testing, validating, and integrating the RF systems which support our next-generation quantum computing platforms. In this role, you will be part of an international team of physicists and engineers to develop, characterise, debug, and optimise high-frequency hardware systems in advanced laboratory environments. • Execute and develop validation & characterisation protocols for RF systems • Take ownership of RF testing and validation activities, supporting the prototyping, integration, debugging, and validation of RF components and subsystems • Contribute technical expertise and validation insights toward the development of next-generation quantum computing platforms • Contribute to improving lab infrastructure, RF testing methodologies, and automation workflows • Support the operation team during validation & characterization of our quantum computing platform with hands-on expertise of RF systems Required Skills: • Bachelor’s or master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related technical field • Hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyser, Oscilloscope, Signal generator) • Strong understanding of RF testing, validation, characterisation, and debugging methodologies for electronic systems • Excellent organizational skills • Structured, analytical working style with strong ownership and execution focus • Fluent English We value: • Experience with Python or a similar high-level scripting language for data analysis • Experience with RF Design What you can expect from eleQtron: • Competitive salary: We value our team members and therefore provide remunerations that reflect this, additionally rewarding achievements. • Flexible working hours: We offer personal freedom through a variety of flexible work schedules • Team spirit: In our international and diverse team, and with our regular team events, having fun at work is simply part of the culture • Further development: We want to grow together and so we offer our team members needs-based, individualized further training as well as plenty of room for personal development • Wellness Package: We offer health-promoting benefits such as fitness programs like UrbanSportsClub to support your well-being • Bike Leasing: Stay Mobile and Sustainable with Our Company Bike Leasing Program • Moving Benefits: A warm welcome!
