Job description
Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA. We are looking for a hands-on Connector & Interconnect Design Engineer to own the full lifecycle of custom electrical interface development - from concept and CAD modeling to drawings, testing, and supplier coordination. This role sits at the intersection of mechanical and electrical engineering, and requires someone who can think in 3D, design for manufacturability, and validate to real-world performance requirements. You will be the technical owner of connector and interface programs, working closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to bring novel interconnect solutions from whiteboard to production.
