Job description
Figure is an AI robotics company building general-purpose humanoid robots with human-level intelligence. Our robots are engineered to perform a wide range of tasks in commercial and industrial environments. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to own softgoods and plastic parts. Responsibilities: • Design parts in 3D CAD that satisfy load conditions, industrial design form factor, and durability requirements. • Work closely with industrial designer to execute on the vision and form of the system • Own the industrial design robot buck, keep up to date with latest files from our engineers and communicate with suppliers • Design injection molded plastic parts with Class A surfaces • Generate accurate 2D drawings using GD&T per ASME Y14.5. • Inspect first articles, build test stands, and continuously support part on robot development platforms. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
