WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Helion's pace depends on electrical teams that ship hardware fast without ever compromising safety at multi-megajoule energies. As a manager, you build and lead the team designing the pulsed-power circuits at the core of the machine - capacitor banks, switching, and protection. Your job is to make that team excellent: to grow engineers, set technical direction, and turn ambitious designs into commissioned hardware. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING - Lead and grow a team of electrical engineers designing high-voltage and pulsed-power circuits. - Own technical direction, execution, and delivery for your team's hardware. - Coach, develop, and hire engineers; build a strong, fast, and safe engineering culture. - Partner across mechanical, controls, systems, and test teams to deliver integrated hardware. - Balance iteration speed with the rigor and safety that high-energy systems demand. REQUIRED SKILLS - A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. - Significant electrical engineering experience, including power electronics or high-voltage circuit design. - People leadership experience (typically 2+ years managing engineers), and a track record of delivering complex electrical hardware. - Strong technical judgment and the ability to lead engineers who are experts in their domains. - Experience with pulsed power, capacitor banks, or high-voltage systems, and with fast-paced hardware development or early-stage team-building, is an asset. #LI-Onsite #LI-KL1 Benefits Our total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to: - Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families - 31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days) - 10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break - Up to 5% employer 401(k) match - Short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance - Paid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks) - Annual wellness stipend Helion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
