Job description
Your Role Factor_, a HelloFresh brand, is looking for a Commercialization Chef (all genders)! Join our newest brand, Factor, and help bring chef-crafted, ready-to-heat meals from concept to customers' tables. As our Commercialization Chef (all genders), you'll play a key role in turning innovative recipes into scalable, high-quality products. Acting as the bridge between Product Development and Kitchen Operations, you'll ensure every new meal is optimized for commercial production, delivering exceptional quality, consistency, and efficiency. From establishing yields and validating production processes to driving weekly menu launches, you'll be at the heart of Factor's culinary innovation. If you're an entrepreneurial culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and is passionate about shaping the future of the food industry, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do • Drive culinary excellence by leading recipe scale-ups, refining production processes, and ensuring successful commercialization. • Own the end-to-end scale-up of new recipes, ensuring every meal meets quality, consistency, and food safety standards before full-scale production. • Prepare and execute R&D recipes at production scale, including ingredient planning, equipment coordination, production execution, plating, and organoleptic evaluation. • Establish initial production yields based on equipment capacity and operational requirements, partnering with R&D Chefs to optimize recipes where needed. • Validate recipe methods and production processes to ensure seamless integration into kitchen operations, documenting findings and recommending process improvements. • Partner closely with the Culinary Team to bridge the gap between recipe development and commercial production, translating creative concepts into scalable operational solutions. • Collaborate with Kitchen Operations, Sous Chefs, and Executive Sous Chefs to improve product quality, production efficiency, and operational performance. • Ensure all recipes meet quality standards, specifications, and production requirements before launch, supporting successful new product introductions. • Evaluate production equipment and workflows by conducting capacity studies, recommending new equipment where appropriate, and identifying opportunities to standardize processes and increase efficiency. • Monitor production performance and investigate quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to improve customer outcomes. • Own yield validation by conducting follow-up testing, analyzing production data, and partnering with Operations to optimize yields and ensure consistency between expected and actual production results. • Lead regular reviews with the Culinary Lead to share insights, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvements across recipes, processes, and production readiness. What You'll Bring • Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Culinary Science, Food Science, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in corporate food R&D, food manufacturing, or high-volume restaurant, catering, or banquet operations. • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, execute against deadlines, and deliver high-quality results. • Process-driven, with a passion for developing scalable production processes and ensuring operational excellence. • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems independently, and making data-informed decisions. • Strong ownership mindset with an entrepreneurial approach-you proactively identify opportunities, take initiative, and drive projects through to completion. • Naturally curious and continuously seeking opportunities to innovate, optimize processes, and improve products. • Customer-focused, with a strong understanding of how decisions impact both internal stakeholders and the end customer. • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships across Culinary, R&D, and Operations. • Adaptable and energized by working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities evolve quickly. What We Offer • Learning & Development: Access to internal training programs and an annual budget to support your personal and professional development. • Factor_ Meals: Exclusive employee discounts on our delicious and nutritious Factor_ meals. • Compensation & Time Off: Competitive salary and 30 days of paid annual leave. • Health & Wellbeing: Access to a variety of wellbeing initiatives, with additional fitness and wellness benefits being introduced. • Future & Flexibility: We continuously expand our benefits portfolio, including mobility support and retirement benefits, to provide even greater flexibility and long-term security.
