You have spent 7+ years designing complex digital products, ideally including SaaS, B2B, platform, workflow-heavy or similarly sophisticated product experiences, and are ready to shape product direction, design standards and team culture across one or more product pillars. As a lead individual contributor, you will partner deeply with product and engineering leaders, mentor other designers and help teams define and improve strategically important product experiences across the HighLevel platform. You will connect customer needs, business goals, technical constraints and long-term product strategy to clear, useful and highly polished product design. We expect candidates at this level to demonstrate an extraordinarily high bar for design craft and visual sophistication, and to raise that bar for the teams around them. You should care deeply about hierarchy, layout, typography, grids, spacing, interaction quality, usability, accessibility and the standards that make product experiences feel refined, trustworthy and coherent at scale. We want candidates who can ship truly world-class product design. Experience using AI-powered tools for exploration, prototyping, critique, synthesis or workflow acceleration is mandatory. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. What You Can Expect Autonomy to shape design direction across one or more strategically important product pillars. Meaningful influence with product, engineering and senior leadership on product quality, customer outcomes and roadmap direction. The opportunity to raise the design bar across multiple teams through critique, standards, mentorship and systems thinking. Partnership with ambitious product, engineering, data and design peers who value clarity, speed, craft and customer outcomes. A craft-forward design culture where lead designers help strengthen design practice, improve team rituals and grow other designers. A 100% remote environment where distributed collaboration is normal. Employees in all geographies are expected to be flexible and thoughtful about working hours so US- and India-based colleagues can collaborate effectively. What We Are Looking For 7+ years of relevant product design experience, with 2+ years in a leadership, mentorship or design direction capacity; experience in SaaS, B2B, platform, workflow-heavy or other complex digital product environments is highly valuable. An exceptionally strong portfolio that demonstrates systematic thinking, customer empathy, exceptional craft, measurable product impact and leadership beyond individual execution. Proven experience leading data-informed product design across the full lifecycle, including research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, content strategy and usability testing. Exceptional visual and interaction design craft, with deep care for hierarchy, layout, typography, grids, spacing, motion, usability, accessibility and product quality. Experience designing for AI-driven or intelligent interfaces, including collaboration with machine learning, data, automation or platform teams. Deep fluency in design systems, accessibility standards, reusable patterns and scalable product experience decisions. Experience influencing design direction for high-impact product areas, systems, platforms or pillars, not only individual features or flows. Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to work fluently with product managers, engineers, data partners, customer-facing teams, senior stakeholders and other designers. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas, lead critiques and workshops and persuade through rationale, evidence and craft. Passion for improving team operations, design standards, processes, tools, documentation and better ways for teams to work. In This Role, You Will Lead design strategy and execution for one or more product pillars from discovery through delivery. Translate customer needs, business goals, product strategy and technical constraints into clear experience direction and design roadmaps. Partner with product and engineering leaders to define product vision, prioritize opportunities and align teams around high-quality outcomes. Influence leadership decisions through customer empathy, data synthesis, product judgment, storytelling and strong design rationale. Drive design quality reviews and set standards for usability, accessibility, interaction quality, visual consistency and design system alignment. Raise the quality of multiple teams by mentoring designers, improving critique, strengthening shared patterns and making standards easier to adopt. Define and socialize metrics for design quality and impact, such as usability signals, accessibility compliance, task success, adoption, retention or customer satisfaction. Lead complex discovery and design efforts through ambiguity by synthesizing inputs, framing decisions and helping teams move with clarity. How You Work You raise the bar for craft, visual sophistication and product quality across the teams around you. You move comfortably between product strategy, customer insight, systems thinking and hands-on design execution. You balance speed, detail, scalability and quality without losing sight of the customer. You build trust through warmth, candor, accountability and genuine respect for your teammates as people. You enjoy leading collaboration across time zones and cultural contexts, including with US- and India-based teammates. You communicate in ways that help distributed teams work with clarity, care, trust and momentum. You advocate for accessibility, inclusion and ethical design.
