About the General Counsel Role Keystone is seeking its first General Counsel as an independent company. This is a foundational leadership role with real influence - ideal for someone who wants to build, shape, and lead rather than inherit a mature function. The General Counsel will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, executive team, and Board, leading legal, compliance, and risk while actively enabling the business. Key Responsibilities • Advise the CEO, leadership team, and Board on legal, governance, and risk matters • Build and lead Keystone’s legal function, creating scalable systems that support growth • Oversee key commercial agreements, partnerships, and strategic alliances • Partner with revenue and business-development leaders to improve contracting efficiency • Manage outside counsel relationships across top-tier firms and boutiques • Own governance, compliance, and risk frameworks for a PE-backed business • Navigate complex matters involving privilege, conflicts, and sensitive stakeholders What You’ll Bring This role may be a strong fit if you are a senior in-house legal leader (AGC, Deputy GC, or GC) or a senior law-firm partner with deep experience advising PE-backed or platform businesses. You bring strong commercial judgment, comfort in high-change environments, sophistication around sensitive legal matters, and interest in building something durable and meaningful. In addition to annual salary, we provide an annual discretionary bonus, 401k contribution, and competitive benefits package. Actual Compensation within the range will depend upon the level the individual is hired into based on their skills, experience, and qualifications. Annual Salary Range $300,000-$450,000 USD At Keystone we believe diversity matters.
