From serving under 500,000 learners in 2016, we are now serving almost 10 million learners a month across our websites, apps and youtube channels. These learners include both independent learners accessing us at home and teacher directed learners in schools. Our focus is to reach the underserved by making our content accessible in local languages and by working with large public school systems. Khan Academy is already available in English, Assamese, Hindi, Hinglish, Odia, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu and Punjabi. ABOUT THE INDIA SCHOOLS TEAM In line with our focus to reach the underserved, we partner with government school systems to improve student learning outcomes by enabling teachers and students to optimally utilize the tools and resources on the Khan Academy platform. From our government partnerships, we have reached 2 million learners this last year, partnering with 65,000+ schools across various states. Our goal is to expand our scale to reach over five million learners in five years. The Schools Team works in a lean and collaborative way with our partners, developing strong implementation plans and providing support at every step of the way. Specifically, the team supports teachers and administrators through training and resources, and enabling peer-to-peer sharing. We learn and constantly iterate by gathering feedback and through data-backed insights and efficacy studies. ABOUT THE ROLE Khan Academy India’s Schools Team is looking for motivated individuals to join our Telangana Team as District Coordinators to support implementation of the Khan Academy programme in government schools across different districts in Telangana. In this role, you will work closely with school management, and teachers to ensure effective adoption and usage of the Khan Academy platform. You will report to the Senior Program Lead and play a key role in on-ground execution and support. Please note that this role will be serving one district mentioned as base location, and additionally will serve 1-2 nearby districts as well. More details can be shared in the introduction call. This is a 12-months contract role. Your key responsibilities will be to: 1. Support programme implementation at the district level • Support rollout and implementation of the Khan Academy programme across all assigned schools in the district • Assist in conducting teacher trainings and orientations (online and offline) • Ensure follow-up with schools to drive consistent and effective platform usage • Track progress against defined goals and flag gaps in implementation 2. Work closely with district stakeholders • Build and maintain working relationships with District Education Officers (DEOs), Principals, and teachers • Act as a key point of contact for school-level coordination • Support school management in planning, reviewing, and strengthening programme implementation 3. Drive strong on-ground implementation through intensive school visits • Visit all assigned schools on a weekly basis to ensure consistent and high-quality implementation of the Khan Academy programme. Travel reimbursements will be provided. • Observe classroom usage and support teachers in effectively integrating Khan Academy into daily teaching practices • Identify gaps in adoption, usage, or understanding and take timely corrective actions • Build strong relationships with school leaders and teachers to drive ownership and accountability • Ensure that agreed implementation practices are consistently followed across all schools 4. Gather insights and support data-driven decisions • Collect and track usage data and feedback from schools on a regular basis • Share structured updates and key insights with the central team • Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities to improve programme effectiveness 5. Documentation and coordination • Maintain records of trainings, school visits, and stakeholder meetings in a structured format • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all key activities • Coordinate with internal teams to support programme needs and resolve on-ground challenges 6. Support Overall Programme Operations • Assist with any additional tasks required for successful school-level implementation • Contribute to improving processes based on on-ground learnings and feedback ABOUT YOU You would be a great fit for the role if you are: • Someone with 2–4 years of relevant work experience.
