About Legal 500 Legal 500 is a global legal market research, data and intelligence business. Our research helps corporate clients make informed decisions about legal representation and gives law firms insight into their market position, performance, and clients. Beyond research, we’re building a growing data, benchmarking, market-intelligence and subscription service offering. We bring the legal market together through a global programme of events - awards ceremonies, conferences and roundtables that convene leading law firms, in-house teams and their advisers. And through Legal Business, our journalistic title, we deliver independent news, analysis and commentary on the business of law and the strategy, performance and leadership of the world’s leading law firms. We are a growing, multi-site organisation, with colleagues working across research, data, technology, product, journalism, commercial and events in London, Leeds and Bristol. Role information: • Hybrid workplace - 3 days a week in office, 2 days remote • This role is based in Leeds (Aire Street) • Working hours are 9:30 am to 5:30 pm • The salary for this role is £27,000 per annum About the role: Research analysts are at the centre of our interaction with firms and the market, conducting comprehensive research into the legal market to benchmark law firms. The role involves interviewing lawyers and assessing quantitative and qualitative data to produce accurate rankings and insightful editorial content. We are looking for people who have an excellent command of spoken and written English and must be able to manage time effectively and work to deadlines. Knowledge of the legal sector is preferable but not essential. Much of the law covered by the Legal 500 guides around the world is commercial so an interest in business and the City would be helpful. For an insight into the content of our products, please see www.legal500.com What you'll be doing: • Gathering details of law firms' recent work, through the collection of written submissions and interviews with senior-level lawyers • You'll analyse quantitative and qualitative data to accurately assess and benchmark firms by practice area and country • Applying rankings methodology consistently and accurately • You will maintain live documents of ranking notes documenting decisions made for firms and individual lawyers and the rationale, applying the methodology consistently • You'll be writing comprehensive, in-depth analysis of the leading law firms in certain key practice areas • Building rapport / relationship with law firms at BD and partner level • You'll be owning your own workload in order to meet staggered and final deadlines for interviews, rankings and editorials   What we're looking for: • Professional and confident approach to speaking with external senior decision-makers at major law firms • Excellent written communication skills • An energetic self-starter • Ability to build relationships across the business with internal stakeholders • Highly organised with exceptional planning skills and the ability to manage work to deadline • Adaptable to change • Comfortable working independently Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
