Merkle Science is headquartered in New York with offices in Singapore, Bangalore and London. The team has combined experience across Bank of America, Paypal, Luno, Thomson Reuters and Amazon. The company has raised over US$27 MM from SIG, Beco, Republic, DCG, Kenetic, GGV and several others. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python(Django/FastAPI) Write efficient queries and manage data models in PostgreSQL Work with Redis for caching, queues, and improving service performance Collaborate with frontend and QA engineers to ship end-to-end features Write clean, tested, well-documented code and participate in code reviews Debug and optimize existing services for performance and scale Work with large datasets related to blockchain transactions (exposure to tools like ClickHouse is a plus) Required Skills Strong fundamentals in Python and object-oriented programming Understanding of Django/FastAPI or any Python web framework Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) - schema design, indexing, query optimization Basic understanding of caching concepts and tools like Redis Understanding of REST API design principles Strong problem-solving and DSA fundamentals (arrays, trees, graphs, hashing) Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows
