About the Team The Revenue Marketing team at Mixpanel is responsible for pipeline generation across paid, website, and product-led channels. This role sits within that team as its dedicated engineering owner - accountable for the technical systems that power how people discover, evaluate, and request Mixpanel. You are the only engineer dedicated to this surface, which means you set its technical direction rather than execute against someone else's. You work directly with our marketing teams and partner with Growth Engineering on shared systems. Website design and content are handled by our web design team; your focus is the technical infrastructure, integrations, and systems that sit underneath. About the Role As our Marketing Systems Engineer, you own the technical layer of our marketing engine: the integrations and infrastructure that power our marketing website. The website is our primary lead capture system that turns traffic into pipeline. You own the systems that connect our marketing surface to Salesforce, Customer.io/Hubspot, and our broader GTM stack. You set the technical roadmap for this surface, move fast, measure impact, and treat reliability as a first-class concern rather than a cleanup task. You will also collaborate with Growth Engineering on shared infrastructure including handraiser routing and tracking. Responsibilities • Own the technical health of the Mixpanel marketing website: page speed, WCAG compliance, Google Tag Manager, technical SEO, and third-party integrations including Qualified, Optimizely, and TrustArc. • Own the integrations between the marketing website and our GTM stack to ensure data flows reliably from lead capture to CRM • Own the front-end of the website form submission system - form UI, field configuration, and validation across all form types - and collaborate with Growth Engineering on backend routing and the orchestration layer • Improve reliability of the lead capture flow. Build the monitoring and alerting that surfaces failures before Marketing notices, and drive root cause to resolution across your layers and with Growth Engineering on theirs. • Own any front-end implementation in Framer, partnering with web design on component structure, build patterns, and custom interactions when needed • Manage the technical roadmap for this surface: identify the highest-impact work, sequence it against Marketing priorities, and write the documentation that gets alignment before you build • Run multiple concurrent workstreams, for example an integration build, a blog migration, and an experimentation dependency, and keep all of them on course • Identify and pay down technical debt in the marketing stack before it compounds, and make the explicit tradeoff calls between shipping speed and long-term durability What We're Looking For • 2+ years of full-stack engineering experience and clear ownership of production systems, with an interest in GTM engineering • Writes production code daily across HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a marketing website context • Strong in JavaScript and productive in Python. Has designed, owned, and debugged webhook-based integrations and data pipelines in production. • Experience with Framer or a similar component-based visual web CMS • Deep hands-on experience across a B2B marketing stack: CRMs, marketing automation platforms, Google Tag Manager, A/B testing tools • Experience with reverse ETL tools or data sync platforms (Hightouch, Census, or similar) • Takes ambiguous requirements from non-technical stakeholders, scopes them into a technical plan with clear tradeoffs, and ships end to end without oversight • Explains technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and holds a defensible position with engineering partners Bonus Points For • Familiarity with Google Pub/Sub or event-driven pipeline architecture • Experience with Optimizely, VWO, or similar web experimentation platforms • Background at a product-led growth company #LI-Hybrid Compensation The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. You can view our benefits offerings here. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors.
