Job description

Role Overview Mythic is building next-generation AI silicon that demands exceptional performance, quality, and manufacturability from first silicon through production ramp. We are looking for a senior, hands-on Product Engineer to own and drive product engineering execution across the full silicon lifecycle - from bring-up and characterization through yield learning, production ramp, and high-volume manufacturing. This is not a maintenance role. This is a build role. We want someone who can take ambitious product goals, incomplete information, and fast-moving silicon programs and turn them into scalable product engineering systems that accelerate learning, improve yield, strengthen quality, and enable production success. You will play a critical role in defining how Mythic turns great silicon into great products. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments and wants to work across design, DFT, test, reliability, quality, and manufacturing to build the company's product engineering foundation the right way from the ground up. You should be equally comfortable setting strategy and getting deep into hands-on silicon debug, characterization, data analysis, yield problem-solving, and manufacturing execution. What you'll own • Drive Mythic's product engineering strategy across silicon bring-up, characterization, yield learning, screening, qualification support, and production ramp • Own product health across wafer sort, final package test, characterization, and manufacturing correlation • Partner closely with design, DFT, test engineering, reliability, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure product readiness  • Support silicon bring-up, characterization, correlation, guardbanding, and transfer into high- volume manufacturing • Analyze silicon and test data to identify yield issues, systematic failures, performance limiters, escapes, and opportunities to improve product quality and manufacturability  • Work directly with OSATs, foundries, and internal teams to deploy and sustain robust product flows in manufacturing • Make smart tradeoffs across yield, quality, screening effectiveness, performance, cost, and ramp velocity • Improve infrastructure, automation, and analytics for product monitoring, failure analysis, and yield learning • Lead from the front as an individual contributor who is comfortable getting deep into silicon, data, debug, and cross-functional execution What we're looking for • Significant experience in semiconductor product engineering, test engineering, yield engineering, or related silicon production roles • Strong hands-on ownership of silicon bring-up, characterization, yield analysis, and production ramp • Experience supporting wafer sort and final package test in real production environments • Deep understanding of manufacturing flows, device screening, correlation, guardbanding, binning, and outgoing quality • Experience supporting silicon bring-up, characterization, yield ramp, and production release • Strong debug instincts and data fluency; you know how to find signal in noisy silicon and manufacturing data • Experience working cross-functionally with design, DFT, test, reliability, quality, and operations teams • Comfortable operating with urgency, ambiguity, and a high bar for execution  • Builder mindset: you do not wait for perfect structure - you create it Preferred Qualifications • Experience with AI, accelerator, high-performance compute, or mixed-signal silicon • Familiarity with ATE data, bench characterization, system correlation, and silicon performance analysis • Experience with failure analysis workflows, root cause investigation, and disposition of silicon and package-related issues • Knowledge of datasheet limit setting, screening strategies, guardband definition, and binning methodologies • Experience working with OSATs, foundries, and external manufacturing partners • Strong scripting, automation, and product-data analysis skills • Experience improving yield, correlation, quality, and manufacturing efficiency at ramp   What success looks like • New silicon moves from bring-up to manufacturing with strong product insight and fewer surprises • Yield issues are identified early and driven to root cause fast • Product flows are robust, scalable, and ready for production • Characterization, screening, and correlation strategies improve confidence in product release • Mythic ships higher-quality silicon with better visibility, faster learning cycles, and stronger production confidence Why this role matters At Mythic, product engineering is not a support function. It is a core part of how we turn advanced silicon into reliable, manufacturable products that can scale in the real world. This role sits at the center of that mission. You will influence product quality, yield, manufacturing readiness, ramp execution, and long-term scalability. You will work on meaningful technical problems with direct impact on whether great silicon becomes a great product. If you want a role where you can own critical decisions, build systems that matter, and help define the future of AI hardware, we should talk. Why Mythic • Work on ambitious AI hardware with real technical depth • Own critical product engineering strategy at a company where your work will directly shape production outcomes • Join a highly collaborative team solving hard silicon and system challenges • Move fast, make decisions, and build from first principles  • Have outsized impact in a role with real scope and visibility. Equal Opportunity Mythic is committed to building an inclusive team and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
