Position Overview The Facility Maintenance Specialist ensures all maintenance duties are completed and assists other facility maintenance personnel in the operation, maintenance, general upkeep and improvement of the building and grounds. This is a full-time position with a flexible shift start time. Regular workdays are Monday through Friday, with shifts starting between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. The preferred schedule will be discussed and finalized during the hiring process in coordination with the Lead Facilities and Office Coordinator. Pay for this position is dependent upon experience. Starting pay is $21.50/hour. Successful applicants must be able to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening as a contingency of employment. Primary Responsibilities • Ensure maintenance duties and requests are completed in a timely manner. • Set up meeting rooms for training/events in a timely manner as required. • Ensure company vehicles are maintained and upkept. • Inspect and repair minor facility issues regarding electrical, plumbing, and lighting. • May assist with coordination of vendors for maintenance. • Perform hands on general facility upkeep and minor construction. • Assist in any inspections processes (fire, sprinkler, backflow, etc.). • Ensure building complies with fire inspection regulations. • Ensure office and environmental conditions are adequate. • Assemble and move office furniture as needed. • May assist in planning and execution of facilities related work with outside vendors/contractors. • Provide shipping and receiving duties to include receiving skids/packages which will be entered in to NISC’s iVue software and distributed appropriately. • Shop for and deliver supplies as needed or directed. • Perform work duties outside of regular business hours, on an as needed basis, to meet internal and/or customer needs. • Provide backup to warehouse related duties and personnel. • Other duties as assigned. • Commitment to NISC’s Statement of Shared Values. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred • 3+ years of related experience preferred. • Strong ability to interact in a positive manner with internal and external contacts. • Moderate level familiarity with operating computer related equipment and software. • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. • Strong ability to organize and prioritize. • Strong attention to detail. • Strong ability to demonstrate initiative and accountability. • Strong ability to multitask and manage time. Education Preferred High school diploma or equivalent.
