- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and make well-reasoned technology and product decisions without frequent guidance from engineering leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of time
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well cross-functionally but also to represent Redwood’s technical capabilities credibly to external customers and translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

About Redwood Materials Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling - keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. Solutions Engineer, Energy Storage As a Solutions Engineer you will serve as a technical voice with Redwood’s energy storage customers. This role bridges commercial and engineering: the Solutions Engineer represents Redwood’s technical capabilities directly in customer conversations. The ideal candidate has a background in design or applications engineering and is eager to bring that expertise closer to the customer, helping Redwood’s commercial team operate with greater technical independence as the business scales. In accordance with California pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is listed below. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and skills. California Pay Range: $125,000-$165,000 USD The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
