Job description

The Role We are excited to offer an internship opportunity for a talented student to join the data science team at Schonfeld. The data science team is responsible for creating Schonfeld's proprietary curated and feature datasets, conducting data analytics and research, and ultimately add value to various investment strategies. What You’ll Do As a data scientist, you will work closely with the engineering teams to optimize data ingestion pipelines, ensuring high-quality data input. You will also collaborate with portfolio manager teams to extract insights from data and systematically generate features or signals that feed into the alpha generation process. Additionally, you will develop domain expertise across various financial asset classes and datasets, produce curated datasets to standardize research, conduct quantitative analysis to generate ideas and validate hypothesis through backtesting. The ideal candidate will possess both a passion for data science disciplines and a strong interest in financial markets. The annual base pay for this role is expected to be between $100,000 and $110,000 which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications and experience and level of education.
