What you’ll need: • Minimum 2 years of recent conventional mortgage underwriting experience with direct decision-making authority. • Demonstrated full-file underwriting ownership across credit, income, assets, collateral, conditions, and final decisions. • Direct appraisal and title review experience. • Strong experience analyzing self-employed income and complex borrower scenarios. • Ability to independently evaluate and clear underwriting conditions. • Strong understanding of credit policy, underwriting guidelines, collateral evaluation, and risk assessment. • Experience working in a compliance-driven, production-oriented environment with accountability for quality and turn times. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when partnering with processors. • Ability to work standard business hours aligned with Central Time. • Ability to work from the Frisco, Texas office 1–2 days per week. Nice to have: • Home Equity, HELOC, or second-lien underwriting experience. • Manual or semi-manual underwriting experience. • Experience with complex borrower, collateral, or lien-position scenarios. • High-volume production underwriting experience. • DU/LP experience as supporting conventional underwriting exposure. • CHUMS, SAR, or VA credit authority.
