Job description

SoloPulse Corp is a dual-use radar company committed to the relentless exploration of the frontiers of radar sensing technology. Located in Atlanta, GA, SoloPulse stands as a venture-backed startup, diligently cultivating strategic collaborations to proactively address critical safety imperatives and emerging autonomy needs across both civilian and military domains. Our distinguished team encompasses accomplished engineers, seasoned advisors, and experienced startup veterans, collectively driven by an overarching mission to change the way the world sees.  We are looking for a senior software engineer to build the real-time processing systems at the core of our radar platform. This is an R&D-focused role where you will take algorithms and system concepts and turn them into high-performance, deterministic software running on real hardware. You will work primarily in C++ and Python, with opportunities to work across DSP, CUDA/GPU acceleration, high-throughput sensor processing, networking, and embedded computing. The work ranges from implementing and optimizing signal-processing algorithms to building complete sensor-to-output systems for drones, vehicles, and other platforms. Responsibilities • Developing real-time software for radar, RF, and other high-throughput sensor systems, with a focus on turning research algorithms into reliable, deterministic implementations • Translating DSP algorithms and mathematical concepts into efficient C++ and CUDA implementations that meet strict latency, throughput, and timing requirements • Designing and implementing low-latency data processing pipelines that acquire, process, and deliver high-rate sensor data in real time • Working closely with DSP and research engineers to understand algorithms, identify implementation constraints, and integrate them into complete real-time systems • Designing software architectures for systems that combine multiple sensors, real-time processing, state estimation, and downstream outputs • Profiling and optimizing C++ and CUDA code to improve latency, throughput, memory usage, and overall system performance • Developing test harnesses, simulation environments, replay systems, and controlled data collection pipelines to validate algorithms and system behavior • Developing software that can operate predictably under real-world resource constraints, including limited CPU, GPU, memory, bandwidth, and power • Rapidly building experimental systems to answer technical questions and determine whether new concepts are viable Key Qualifications • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field • 4+ years of demonstrated experience developing complex software systems • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing low-latency and deterministic real-time systems • Strong understanding of performance-critical C++, including memory behavior, concurrency, synchronization, data movement, and resource management • Experience translating algorithms or mathematical concepts into efficient software implementations • Experience developing software for systems with significant performance, latency, or throughput requirements • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance; U.S. person required Nice-to-have Qualifications • NVIDIA CUDA / GPU acceleration and performance optimization • Experience implementing real-time signal processing algorithms • Experience with SDRs, RF hardware, high-bandwidth sensors, or sensor fusion • Experience building simulation, replay, hardware-in-the-loop, or automated test systems • Experience taking research software from prototype through technical maturation and into a production engineering organization Join our team and be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment where innovation and creativity thrive. We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that will shape the future of radar technology. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
