- Build communication tools and reports targeted at factory workcell directors to improve communication and facilitate customer service
- Standardize material library and procurement process to reduce project lead times
- Drive alignment with maintenance and construction teams at other SpaceX sites across the country to reduce duplicated work

Job description

OPERATIONS ENGINEER (FACILITIES) As a member of the infrastructure engineering team, you will apply your knowledge, experience and creativity to help design, build, and activate some of the world’s most technically advanced manufacturing facilities. The Construction and Infrastructure Engineering team builds the machine that makes the machine, in this case the factory that builds the world’s most advanced rocket, engine and components. Process flow, machine moves, project planning and detailed department level metrics and dashboards all fall under the scope of this role. If you like strategic planning, juggling many different priorities, improving processes, and spending your time in a dynamic work environment, then this team may be for you! This role will deport directly to the department head and serve as the resource org-wide. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
