Job description

Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team As an Account Executive on the Enterprise team at Stripe, you'll drive future growth at Stripe by building new relationships with prospective companies, turning them into happy Stripe users. You'll manage and elevate relationships with a named account list within a key vertical while identifying new growth opportunities and ways Stripe can exceed expectations. This role will be dedicated to accounts focused in Australia. What you'll do As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will own a portfolio of established enterprise customers and drive their continued growth with Stripe. This is a hunting role within existing accounts: you will identify new opportunities to increase payment volume, activate additional products, expand Stripe’s footprint across business units and subsidiaries, and build long-term customer stickiness. You will create and execute account strategies for complex technology customers, engaging both executive and technical stakeholders to understand their priorities and translate Stripe’s platform into clear commercial and operational value. The role spans the full expansion cycle, from account planning and opportunity creation through commercial negotiation, activation, and post-launch growth. We are looking for a commercially ambitious and highly autonomous seller who can balance near-term revenue delivery with the long-term relationship building required to grow a strategic book of business. You should be comfortable navigating technical and business conversations with leaders across the business. Responsibilities • Own a named portfolio of existing enterprise customers and develop strategic account plans to grow Stripe’s revenue, product adoption, and market share. • Identify, create, and progress expansion opportunities across customer business units, subsidiaries, geographies, and product lines. • Build and execute outbound strategies within existing accounts to develop new executive relationships and create qualified opportunities. • Lead the full expansion sales cycle, from opportunity identification and discovery through commercial negotiation, activation, go-live, and continued growth. • Understand customers’ complex business and technical challenges, and position Stripe’s core platform and products as solutions to those needs. • Lead product workshops, business case development, and financial analyses that help customers quantify the value of investing further in Stripe. • Partner closely with internal teams including Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and Post-Sales to coordinate migrations, activations, and strategic customer initiatives. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements • 6+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years working with enterprise customers, preferably in a technology company, with a demonstrated record of exceeding commercial targets. • Experience growing and expanding existing upper-middle-market or enterprise customer relationships, including identifying new opportunities within a portfolio rather than relying solely on renewals or inbound demand. • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans across complex organisations with multiple business units, stakeholders, or subsidiaries. • Strong experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery through commercial negotiation, activation, go-live, and continued growth. • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value and engage confidently with senior business and technical stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Finance, and executive leaders. Preferred qualifications • Prior experience at a growth-stage internet or software company • Experience in fintech or payments is a plus
