Job description

Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies-from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups-use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team The Iberia Sales team is responsible for expanding Stripe’s footprint across Spain and Portugal. We focus on both winning net-new logo accounts and driving strategic growth within high-potential existing customers. We move with urgency, operate with focus, and pride ourselves on delivering strong commercial results through disciplined outbound execution, strategic account management, and high-quality customer engagement. What you'll do As an Account Executive for Iberia, you will drive revenue expansion across the Spanish and Portuguese markets. Whether acquiring net-new logos or driving deep adoption and cross-sell strategies within key existing accounts, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior business leadership. You'll execute long-term sales strategies, engage internal and external stakeholders, align on technical and business requirements, build value in competitive situations, and lead commercial negotiations to close. Responsibilities • Drive commercial revenue growth across Spain and Portugal by winning new accounts, expanding current partnerships, or both. • Own the full sales cycle-from prospecting and pipeline generation to account planning, upselling, and closing complex transactions. • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including SDRs, Product Sales specialists, Solutions Engineering, Account Management, Risk, and Legal. • Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase product adoption and unlock new revenue streams within target business units. • Lead deal strategy, account mapping, and commercial negotiations for large, high-impact business opportunities. • Collaborate with Regional Partnerships and Marketing to build pipeline, boost brand awareness, and deepen regional market penetration. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements • 6+ years of sales or enterprise account management experience, preferably selling technical products, with a proven track record of top performance in the Spanish and/or Portuguese market. • Demonstrated success in either net-new customer acquisition (hunting), strategic account growth and retention (growing), or a combination of both. • Ability to understand technical requirements and craft tailored solutions across a complex multi-product ecosystem. • Experience developing and executing account plans spanning multiple business units within complex organizations. • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with a track record of building lasting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. • Proven ability to lead complex commercial negotiations involving bespoke agreements. • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment. • Native or professional fluency in English and Spanish; fluency in Portuguese is a strong plus. • Based in (or willing to relocate to) Madrid, Spain. Preferred qualifications • Previous experience in payments, fintech, or SaaS environments. • Background working within a fast-scaling growth stage or enterprise technology company. • Fluency in Portuguese.
