- Quality & culture: Guarantee product quality with a focus on engineering best practices (Clean Code, Testing, CI/CD) and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Proven leadership experience as an Engineering Manager, with a background as a Senior Engineer with solid hands-on backend experience
- Comfort being hands-on when needed - architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical deep dives
- Experience leading medium-to-complex projects across multiple squads or domains, with a track record of delivering in cross-functional environments
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Redis), with experience in queues (SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ) and preferably streaming (Kafka)
- AWS or comparable cloud experience, with familiarity with modern cloud-native backend technologies - microservices, containers, and orchestration
- Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken form across global teams

The Payments BR Tribe builds the financial products that Brazilian merchants rely on every day - from card payments and credit transfers to receivables, instalment solutions, and hardware. We sit at the intersection of technology and real merchant needs, designing solutions that fit the way Brazilian businesses actually operate.
