About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Merchant Acquisition Specialist who will join our In-store Operations team and will be responsible for signing new businesses and inspecting our in-store marketing efforts at Tamara’s partner stores. The role involves being on the ground and visiting new and existing merchants. It’s ideal for an energetic individual who is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic start-up environment. Your Responsibilities: ■ Active Merchant Outreach: Proactively identify and approach potential merchants in their physical store locations, introducing the company's services or products and explaining the benefits of partnership. ■ Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with merchants, understanding their unique needs and challenges to position the company's offerings as valuable solutions. ■ On-Site Demonstrations: Conduct in-person product or service demonstrations and address merchant concerns to secure new partnerships. ■ Market Intelligence Gathering: Collect and report valuable market insights, competitor activities and merchant feedback to inform company strategy and product development, including in-store materials visibility, ■ Conversion and Onboarding: Guide interested merchants through the application and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition and laying the groundwork for a successful long-term partnership. Your expertise: ■ Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field. ■ Strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills. ■ Stakeholder management skills and CRM proficiency. ■ Highly organized with a strong attention to detail. ■ Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ■ Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. ■ Highly energetic and proactive.
