Job description
The Voloridge Ascend Program brings together a select group of early undergraduate and early-stage Ph.D. students to work closely with our researchers, engineers, and traders, gaining exposure to how we approach research, modeling, and system design in a trading environment. Through hands-on sessions and a collaborative simulation, you'll explore how ideas from mathematics, physics, computer science, and related quantitative disciplines are applied to complex, evolving systems. Admission is highly competitive, with only 20 participants selected for each cohort. Throughout the program, participants will hear directly from and receive hands-on mentorship from some of Voloridge's most senior researchers and engineers. You'll participate in technical sessions, collaborative problem-solving activities, and a team-based competition designed to challenge your analytical thinking and technical creativity while providing a firsthand look at how our teams approach difficult research problems. There’s no expectation of prior finance knowledge. We’re looking for students who enjoy thinking deeply, questioning assumptions, and building from first principles. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of what technical research looks like in practice, and how they might fit into it. Program Dates: • January 11-14, 2027 Program Logistics: • Travel to and from the program will be arranged and fully covered by Voloridge. • Hotel accommodations will be provided for the duration of the program. • Participants will receive a daily stipend during the program. Eligibility: • First and second-year undergraduate students, or early-stage Ph.D. students • Pursuit of a degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline • Demonstrated interest in solving challenging technical problems • One letter of recommendation from a professor or faculty advisor submitted with the application This application will be open until October 31, 2026.
