Our mission We're making Africa the first cashless continent. In 2017, over half the population in Sub-Saharan Africa had no bank account. That's for good reason-the fees are too high, the closest branch can be miles away, and nobody takes cards. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash. We're solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don't always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across 9 countries and are growing fast. Our goal is to make Africa the first cashless continent and that's where you come in... How you'll help us achieve it We're looking for a resourceful, organized, proactive Premium Agent Manager. You'll work with our agent team to identify, train, roll out, and manage a network of Premium Agencies across the Democratic Republic of Congo. You'll report to the Agent Liquidity Lead. In this role, you'll: • Assess and select Premium Agency outlets. • Gather requirements for new premises and secure internal approval. • Negotiate with landlords to obtain authorization for onsite operations. • Set up each Premium Outlet according to our procedures and minimum standards. • Identify and engage vendors who can build out facilities efficiently and on schedule. • Share the Statement of Work and build plan with vendors, then negotiate pricing and delivery timelines. • Inspect completed premises and hand them over to the Liquidity team. • Appoint a reputable security company to protect each Premium Agency. • Add relevant Premium Agencies to our insurance policy. • Keep outlets maintained to our minimum standards. • Monitor the quality of installed materials and step in where fixes are needed. Requirements • Fluent in French and English - you'll work in French day-to-day and interact regularly with non-French speakers. • Fluency in Lingala is a strong advantage; Kikongo is a plus. • Solid understanding of agency construction and build-out. • An established network of service providers who deliver on time.
