Position Summary: Zeeco is looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer with strong expertise in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and instrumentation engineering for global combustion, flare, and pollution control projects. The role is primarily focused on developing high-quality FEED and Detail Engineering deliverables, preparing instrumentation specifications, supporting control system engineering, procurement, and multidisciplinary project execution. The ideal candidate should possess 10+ years of Instrumentation & Controls Engineering experience within Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical, EPC, or Process industries. Key Responsibilities: FEED & Instrumentation Engineering: • Execute Instrumentation & Controls engineering activities for FEED, Basic and Detail Engineering projects. • Develop and review engineering deliverables including: • P&IDs • Instrument Index • Instrument Datasheets & Specifications • Hook-up Drawings • Loop Diagrams • Cable & Junction Box Schedules • I/O Lists • Cause & Effect Matrix • Alarm & Trip Schedules • Wiring Schematics • Installation Drawings • Bills of Materials (BOM) • Perform sizing, specification, and selection of: • Pressure Instruments • Temperature Instruments • Flow Instruments • Level Instruments • Control Valves • On-Off Valves • Valve Actuators (Pneumatic, Electric & Hydraulic) • Solenoid Valves • Positioners • Limit Switches • Analyzers • Select and size valve actuators based on process conditions, torque calculations, fail-safe requirements, control philosophy, and applicable industry standards. • Review vendor drawings, actuator calculations, and engineering documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards. Controls Engineering: • Develop engineering deliverables for PLC interface systems. • Prepare: • Control Philosophy • Functional Design Specifications • Control Narratives • Functional Logic Diagrams • I/O Architecture • Coordinate instrumentation interfaces with electrical systems, packaged equipment, and control systems. Procurement & Technical Support: • Prepare Material Requisitions (MR), Material Take-Offs (MTO), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), RFQs, and Purchase Requisitions. • Support proposal engineering by preparing E&I estimates and technical inputs. • Evaluate vendor offers, review technical deviations, and support procurement activities. Process Safety & Project Execution: • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and Functional Safety studies. • Ensure compliance with IEC, ISA, API, NFPA, ATEX, NEC, hazardous area, and client standards. • Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Commissioning teams to ensure timely project execution. • Interface with customers, EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and Zeeco's global engineering offices. Required Skills & Experience: • Strong expertise in FEED and Detail Engineering for Instrumentation & Controls. • Experience in specification and sizing of field instruments, control valves, on-off valves, actuators, solenoid valves, and associated accessories. • Hands-on experience with: • P&IDs • Instrument Specifications • Instrument Index • Loop Drawings • Hook-up Drawings • I/O Lists • Cause & Effect Matrix • Alarm & Trip Schedules • Cable & JB Schedules • Vendor Document Review • Procurement Engineering • Valve and Actuator Selection • Good knowledge of: • PLC (Siemens, Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley), Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Yokogawa, ABB) • Hazardous Area Classification • Intrinsic Safety • Functional Safety • IEC, ISA, API & NFPA Standards Preferred Industry Experience: • Oil & Gas • Petrochemical • Refining • Chemical Processing • EPC • Industrial Combustion Systems • Flare Systems • Thermal Oxidizers Qualifications: • Experience of 10+ years of experience in FEED and Detail Engineering of C&I Deliverables. • Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation. • Experience on international FEED and Detail Engineering projects will be an added advantage.
