Job Description: The Structural/Civil/Mechanical Engineer for the Rentals and Rapid Response department will be responsible for designing a wide range of mechanical equipment, including piping assemblies, pressure vessels, and steel stacks. Designs may be intended for permanent installation at a specific job site or engineered for repeated temporary use across a region. Temporary equipment may also require the design of custom trailers or skid‑mounted structures to support mobility and deployment. Job Duties: - Complete and/or check structural calculations for a variety of equipment. - Work within an engineering team to provide technical support and responses for structural related items. - Occasional travel to domestic and/or international locations for meetings or job site visits. - Give technical presentations to colleagues on various structural subjects. - Act as the technical liaison with US and Global Location colleagues. - Communicate with project execution team to ensure structural designs are made with materials and details that can be readily purchased on the market. - Communicate with drafting and manufacturing teams to provide structural designs that can be most easily fabricated. - Assist Applications Engineers in structural topics for ongoing quotes. - Efficient, clear, and concise reporting of structural design packages. - Effective use of first principles to work through engineering challenges. - Continual vigilance to identifying areas of waste and inefficiency with action to improve these areas.   Qualifications: Minimum requirements:  -Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineer preferred) - 5+ years’ experience in Structural Design or equivalent design role - Excellent organizational skills - Aptitude to interpret specifications - Fluent in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) - Professional Engineering License or willingness to obtain one   The following design experience is considered a plus but not required:  - Department of Transportation (DOT) compliant trailer design   - Pressure vessel design - Steel stack design - Steel structure design - Wind design code principles - Seismic design code principles - Finite element analysis - Pipe stress analysis - Drafting software   The candidate should understand or have a willingness to learn the following codes and standards: - ASCE 7 - ASME Section VIII Division 1 - ASME STS-1 - AISC 360 - ASME B31.3 - International equivalents of the above listed codes and standards   The following software experience is considered a plus but not required:  - Codeware COMPRESS - PV Elite - MecaStack - Bentley’s STAAD.Pro - Ansys Mechanical - CAESAR II - SolidWorks - NozzlePro
