What the role asks for
What you'd do
- Respond to every warm/inbound SMB lead within 5 minutes. This is a hard SLA we track weekly, not an aspiration.
- Own the tooling behind that SLA: routing, alerting, and follow-up automation, so speed is engineered into the system, not dependent on someone watching a queue.
- Run the weekly play the Growth/Marketing lead sets, whether that's a new outbound angle, a channel test, or a messaging variant, and report back what worked. You're the one testing our hypotheses in market, every week.
- Book meetings for the closing team on higher-value SMB opportunities.
- Close and fund lower-value SMB deals yourself, start to finish, including getting the account actually funded.
- Continuously improve your own CRM workflows, sequencing, and outbound tooling. Leave it better than you found it each quarter.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency: something concrete you've built or shipped (an app, a tool, a side project). We expect you to apply that instinct here by automating your own pipeline, not just working it by hand.
- A background suited to fluency in complex financial topics (e.g., a finance degree or equivalent), paired with genuine confidence in cold-calling situations: public speaking, competitive/club sports, or similar reps of putting yourself out there under pressure.
- Evidence, not a story: prior quota attainment, high-volume rejection tolerance, or a specific example of coaching feedback that changed how you worked within a week.
- Comfortable running a new play every week and reporting honestly on what didn't work, not just what did.
- Comfortable owning a number in an undefined, early-stage motion, including comp and quota being re-cut as the role matures.

Job description
About Us Rho is the modern banking platform built for the AI era. Startups and growth-stage companies can open accounts in minutes, issue cards, manage expenses, pay bills, and close the books – all in one connected platform backed by real human support. ABOUT THE ROLE Rho is building a revenue engine for our SMB segment, and you're running it day to day. You'll work every warm/inbound SMB lead within 5 minutes of it hitting the pipeline, run a reactivation motion against dormant SMB accounts, and close and fund lower-value SMB deals yourself. You'll also book meetings on higher-value opportunities for the closing team, and run the weekly plays Growth/Marketing sets so we can test what actually moves SMB pipeline. This isn't a queue-watching seat: you're expected to build and improve the tooling that makes speed and reactivation work at scale, not just grind them by hand. You'll report to our VP, Marketing, with a direct line into how this program gets built. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Respond to every warm/inbound SMB lead within 5 minutes. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Demonstrated technical proficiency: something concrete you've built or shipped (an app, a tool, a side project). Our people are our most valuable asset. The base salary for this role is $55,000. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits and paid time off. This role is eligible for an uncapped performance bonus paid quarterly. Inclusive of on-target performance bonuses, the total salary range for this role is $80,000. Diversity is a core value at Rho. We’re passionate about building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable environment for all those involved with our mission, including employees, contractors, candidates, customers and vendors. We believe every member of the Rho community enriches our ability to provide a broad range of ways to understand and engage with the market, identify problems, and drive solutions that align with our mission. We welcome all qualified applications and support each of our Rho’ers with ongoing professional growth opportunities.
